Stephen Curry’s 2016-2017 Season

Stephen Curry somewhat disappointed in 2016-2017, as he did not live up to his historic season in the previous season. Curry still played an all-star level and has a good chance of being selected to one of the All-NBA teams. Curry averaged 25.3 points per game while shooting 47% from the field and 41% from field. The shooting efficiency dropped immensely from last season, which is probably why his points per game dropped as much as it did. Curry averaged 1.8 steals per game and 0.2 blocks per game, which is similar to what he has been averaging in the past. Curry also averaged 6.6 assists per game and 4.5 rebounds per game, which were both small decreases from last year. Since he averaged 33 minutes per game, one less minute per game than last year, this might be the main reason for his small drop in assists per game and rebounds per game. Curry look to step up his game in the playoffs, a place where fans have criticized him in the past for not showing up in.
