The LSU safety Jamal Adams has just been selected with the 6th overall pick by the New York Jets. Despite the Jets not needing a safety, Adams is just too good to pass up, similarly to Leonard Williams a few years ago. Adams, who was expected to go somewhere in the 2-3 range, has fallen to pick 6, owned by the Jets. Jamal Adams impact might not be immediate due to Gilchrist and Pryor currently playing safety for the Jets, but coach Todd Bowles will find a way to get Adams on the field. Adams was a game changer at LSU, and will look to do the same for the New York Jets with his insane potential.
