The Cleveland Browns have just selected The University of Miami Hurricane’s tight end David Njoku with the 29th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. Njoku, who was the 2nd rated tight end on Mike Mayock’s Positional board, is the third tight end off the board and is the third first round pick heading to Cleveland. The Browns traded up with the Green Bay Packers to acquire this pick. Following this pick, the Browns have announced the release of veteran and former pro bowl tight end Gary Barnidge following a poor year from him. Njoku, along with Myles Garrett and Jabrill Peppers, will throw out the first pitch in the Cleveland Indian’s next game.
