The Detroit Lions have just selected Jarrad Davis with the 21st overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft. The Florida Gator middle linebacker will look to lead the Lion’s defense to more success next season due to their poor season last season. Jarrad Davis will most likely start next to DeAndre Levy in their 3-4 defensive scheme. Despite Davis’ talent being undeniable, the Lion’s passed on a more highly rated prospect in Rueben Foster, who has dropped a ton! The biggest question of the draft remains how far will Foster slide; this situation somewhat reminds us of Myles Jack’s situation in last year’s draft.
